Herbarium medicinal plant botanical plate poster

Herbarium poster, botanical plate of a medicinal plant

Like a page from a botany treatise, this herbarium plate details a medicinal plant in all its forms: leaves, flowers, seeds and roots are finely drawn on a ground of pale sand, in front of hills and the sea. The eye moves from the flowering stem to the earthy roots, then to the small isolated seeds. The soft greens, the browns of the roots, the blue of the sky and the pale sand make for a precise, soothing image. Each part of the plant is isolated as if for a botany lesson. This herbarium poster carries the title “HEALING HERBS”, a nod to the healing virtues of plants.

A botanical plate for the kitchen or bathroom

Its soft palette suits a kitchen, a bathroom, an office, a bedroom or a practitioner’s consulting room. It pairs well with light wood, linen, glass jars, potted plants and white or sage green walls. It truly comes into its own as a set with other botanical plates. A gift for an herbalist, a naturopath, a pharmacy student, a gardener who grows their own herbs or a friend who loves herbal teas.
