about this poster

Marine anchor and rope poster, “ANCHORS AWEIGH”

A large red anchor stands in a calm sea, with a length of cream rope threaded through its ring. The background is a flat field of deep blue, and cream foam traces broad waves at the foot of the anchor. This marine anchor poster turns the object into an emblem, centered and easy to read. The palette of bright red, blues and cream stands out against the cream margin around the image. The title “ANCHORS AWEIGH,” the order to raise the anchor, is printed in navy capitals below the image.

A marine anchor for a bathroom or a bedroom

Its bright red and deep blues suit a bathroom, a bedroom, an office or a seaside home. They pair well with driftwood, rope, nautical stripes, linen and white walls. In a nautical-themed kid’s room, it finds its place naturally. You can combine it with other posters of boats, lighthouses or sailor’s knots. It is an easy gift for a sailor, a boating enthusiast or a sea lover.
