8 rooms, 8 different ways to hang a poster. This guide sums up what works room by room (subject, mood, constraints) and links to the detailed guide and the collection for each room. To choose a size, see our sizes and our paper; to design several posters together, use the Design my wall tool.
1Living room
This is the room where you spend the most waking hours: a living room poster can be larger or work as a duo above the sofa. The subjects that work best: travel, music, botanical, Art Deco, anything that sparks conversation without being too visually busy.

See the living room posters.
2Bedroom
The bedroom welcomes softer subjects: botanical, landscapes, understated Art Deco. As a rule, avoid overly graphic or loud subjects near the bed.

See the bedroom guide and the bedroom posters.
3Kitchen and dining room
Coffee, wine, recipes, advertising-style Art Deco: the kitchen is where humor and lettering work best. For the dining nook or dining room, the same subjects work (gastronomy, still life, aperitif): there is no separate collection, so choose from the Kitchen collection.

See the kitchen guide and the kitchen posters.
4Powder room
This is the room where humor is most expected: wordplay, offbeat scenes, and often smaller sizes (A4 or A3) for a narrow wall.

See the powder room guide and the powder room posters.
5Bathroom
Soap, seashells, retro bathing scenes: watch out for humidity, as glass or a mat protects the print better in this room.

See the bathroom guide and the bathroom posters.
6Entryway and hallway
A hallway is often narrow and walked through without stopping: travel subjects, cities and dynamic scenes (cars, motorcycles) set the tone from the entrance without asking for prolonged contemplation.

See the entryway and hallway guide and the entryway and hallway posters.
7Office
Aviation, maps, scientific botanical, retro objects: subjects that keep you company without distracting you while you work.

See the office guide and the office posters.
8Laundry room
The laundry room welcomes self-mockery: washing machines, detergent and housework playfully twisted, in a small size.

See the laundry room guide and the laundry room posters.
9Hanging it in the right place
A common decorating rule is to center the poster at eye level, around 145 to 150 cm from the floor for a standing person, and to leave a little more space between the frame and a piece of furniture than between 2 frames in the same set. For the exact dimensions of each size (A4 to A0) and the 200 g/m² paper, see our sizes and our paper.
